2013_04_13 Pecatonica River Forest Preserve

Wilma and I have been here a few times before. The last time I got about 30 feet from the car and took a tumble on some snow covered ice and ended up wet so we went home without hiking other than back to the car.

 This is a wetland, and I expected with all the melting snow and rain that it would be wet and flooded. It was. Several places the trails were blocked by water, but we were able to get past them. Other trails were under water and we just had to skip them.
