Nothing new today interested me.

Two years ago, Sara's husband left for the gym one morning...and never came back. His car was found. He wasn't. Unbelievably, the police report said, "No foul play suspected." There were a few unreliable sightings over the following months, but little else.

Now, on the last day before summer break, her three children have gone missing from their schools, all at the same time.

And the note under her windshield wiper asks one foreboding question: Are you ready to play the game?

FIRST PEOPLE GOT SICK. THEN THEY GOT VERY SICK..
Nick Adams is just a normal guy. He loves his family, appreciates his home, and covets his car. But he absolutely hates his job. Which is what makes it so difficult that not a single customer has come by his store today. It seems as though there’s a bug going around, something that has come out of nowhere and is keeping people at home. Still, it’s probably nothing to worry about. People get sick all the time.

And besides, things are finally starting to look up. Nick’s first customer of the day has just stumbled through the door…

HIS DAY IS ABOUT TO GET WORSE..
It won’t be long before Nick’s entire life is turned upside down, sending him on a frantic journey through a ravaged world that will ultimately lead him 500 feet upwards to a hilltop amusement park. Is it the last safe place on Earth, or are the monsters at the top of the hill even worse than the ones below?

This is a stand-alone novel and doesn't require reading the other books in the series

It’s been a week without power. No phones. No computers. Nothing. Whatever shred of humanity is left in people is slowly dwindling away. Gangs are forming, people are starving, and the whole country is in a free-for-all.
With his house burnt to the ground, Mike Grant finds himself on the road, fighting to stay alive. A single thought propelling him forward: get to his family.
Accompanied by his neighbor, Nelson, Mike leaves Pittsburgh and heads to his family’s cabin in Ohio. For Mike the only thing worse than not making it to the cabin is the fear of his family not being there when he does.

The timeless tale of survival and adventure that set the standard for the English novel

Robinson Crusoe is the only man still alive when his ship is destroyed in a terrible storm. Washing up on a deserted island, he realizes that he is stranded, with no immediate hope of rescue. Displaying remarkable ingenuity, Crusoe builds a crude home, raises crops, and keeps track of the passing days with a rudimentary calendar. Loneliness is his greatest adversary until a tribe of cannibals arrives with their intended victims. When one of the prisoners escapes, Crusoe rescues him. The shipwrecked sailor and his newfound companion, Friday—named for the day of the week on which Crusoe first meets him—band together to vanquish the cannibals and leave the Island of Despair forever.

Based on the true accounts of eighteenth-century castaways, Robinson Crusoe popularized the then-new art form known as the novel. Nearly three hundred years after it was first published, it is still the rare classic with the power to thrill and edify in equal measure.

Untimed: a Time Travel Adventure (Rules of the Regulator Book 1)
Untimed is an action-packed time travel novel by Andy Gavin, author of The Darkening Dream and creator of Crash Bandicoot and Jak & Daxter.

Charlie's the kind of boy that no one notices. Hell, his own mother can't remember his name. So when a mysterious clockwork man tries to kill him in modern day Philadelphia, and they tumble through a hole into 1725 London, Charlie realizes even the laws of time don't take him seriously. Still, this isn't all bad. Who needs school when you can learn about history first hand, like from Ben Franklin himself. And there's this girl... Yvaine... another time traveler. All good. Except for the rules: boys only travel into the past and girls only into the future. And the baggage: Yvaine's got a baby boy and more than her share of ex-boyfriends. Still, even if they screw up history -- like accidentally let the founding father be killed -- they can just time travel and fix it, right? But the future they return to is nothing like Charlie remembers. To set things right, he and his scrappy new girlfriend will have to race across the centuries, battling murderous machines from the future, jealous lovers, reluctant parents, and time itself.

Black Flagged: Book One in the Black Flagged series

Daniel Petrovich, the most lethal operative created by the Department of Defense's Black Flag Program, protects a secret buried in the deepest vaults of the Pentagon.

Blackmailed into executing one final mission, Daniel's carefully constructed "life" rapidly disintegrates into a relentless federal manhunt--and a "24-style" race against the clock to suppress the shocking truth about his past.

To survive, he'll release the darkest side of his concealed identity. A dark side with few boundaries--and even fewer loyalties.

Black Flagged lays the foundation for a gritty, high-octane series exploring the serpentine link between covert operations and government agency politics.

In 1942, the Brooklyn-born Erickson was a millionaire oil mogul who volunteered for a dangerous mission inside the Third Reich: locating the top-secret synthetic oil plants that kept the German war machine running. To fool the Nazis, Erickson played the role of a collaborator. He hung a portrait of Hitler in his apartment and “disowned” his Jewish best friend, then flew to Berlin, where he charmed Himmler and signed lucrative oil deals with the architects of the Final Solution. All the while, he was visiting the oil refineries and passing their coordinates to Allied Bomber Command, who destroyed the plants in a series of B-17 raids, helping to end the war early.

After the war, Erickson's was revealed as a secret agent and received the Medal of Freedom for his bravery. William Holden even played him in a hit Hollywood movie. For a brief moment in the early '60s, Erickson was the most famous spy in the world. His secret? He hadn't played a Nazi collaborator. He'd actually been one - a war profiteer who'd made millions of trading with Hitler before having a change of heart. Black-listed by the Allies and disowned by his family, Erickson had volunteered for the spy mission in order to redeem himself, and ended up saving thousands of Allied lives.

Based on newly-discovered archives in Sweden, The Secret Agent is a riveting piece of narrative nonfiction that tells the true story of Erickson's remarkable life for the first time.

Nineteen Weeks: America, Britain, and the Fateful Summer of 1940
‘Nineteen Weeks’ is Norman Moss’s riveting account of the events in 1940 that changed Britain and America forever.

The weeks between May and September 1940 saw Hitler’s stunning conquest of France, Britain’s struggle against the threat of invasion and conquest, and a passionate debate in the United States over the proper response to these events.

Two battles raged in that summer, both vital to Britain’s survival: the battle for Europe and then for mastery of the skies over Britain, and in America the battle for public and political opinion, between those who thought that America had a stake in the defeat of Hitler and the isolationists.

Author Moss moves swiftly between the battlefields of Europe and the halls of Congress, between struggle in the air and in American political convention halls. He gives us a fresh view of “our finest hour.”

When President Roosevelt and the movements of events turned the tide of popular opinion in America from isolationism towards help for Britain, the balance of world power was altered forever.

As Moss shows, the “special relationship” between Britain and America began in that brief, crucial period, setting the tenor of future American foreign policy. His lucid history offers a fascinating window on current world events.

Looking to start a ketogenic diet?

Summer is a great time to start. It’s time to grill outside, go for picnics, hit the beach, and enjoy a wider variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. The weather is great for being outside, and who doesn’t think a walk in the sunshine beats a treadmill any day?

In the summer, you naturally crave cooler foods like salads and fruit. Meat and seafood taste great off the grill, but the heat helps you eat in moderation. There’s less need for the filling comfort of winter carbs – the potatoes, the casseroles, the homey smell of cookies in the oven.

Let’s be real, though. Real life still happens in the summer. You still have to go to work, run errands, take care of the kids/dog/whiny significant other. You still have to get your butt off the couch to exercise. There’s still laundry, scrubbing the toilet bowl, and mowing the lawn.

This cookbook is designed to help you start and stay on a ketogenic diet, with specific recipes that will help you with packing your lunches for the week, making dinner when you’re running late, and offering ways to get yourself to eat breakfast when you’ve barely even had your coffee.

These recipes will help you take advantage of smart food shopping, smart food prep, and how to handle parties and cookouts.
