Most times these books are only free for a day or two, so you have to grab them while you can. Worry about whether you really want to read it later if it seems interesting. And be careful, they can change from free to not free at any time.
I have decided to list books for no more than one day to avoid cluttering up the posts, unless there is some reason I think the book deserves extra attention.I have also decided to consolidate to a single post, instead of sometimes splitting them up by subject matter.

The Winds of Kedem
Revenge and retribution in the Middle East. Only one man can save Israel from a nuclear holocaust...
Mossad agent David Katri is torn between duty to country and to conscience as he battles to prevent an Arab terrorist plot to destroy the House of Israel. His implacable foe, Rashid Sedawi, is determined to bring about the end of the Jewish state. The action switches between Mossad headquarters in Tel Aviv and the Syrian Desert, between the teeming Shi'ite suburbs of Beirut and Pakistan's secret nuclear base near Islamabad. The streets of Stockholm and snow-bound Vienna also become soaked in blood as Katri finds himself tangled in a web of deceit spun by Arabs, Christians and Jews. A web where even love has a price.
The Winds of Kedem is a heart-stopping tale of vengeance, courage, love and betrayal ...

Prepper's Pantry: A Survival Food Guide
Prepper's Pantry: A Survival Food Guide is an excellent resource and foundational guide that covers many topics of food preparation. Especially helpful for the seeker and the new-to-prepping, there are also many great ideas for even the seasoned prepper.
The reasons why you prep really don’t matter. What matters is how long you’re prepping for, and the means you go about doing it. This guide will show you how to determine your food needs, no matter how long you will be prepping for, and will discuss various methods of obtaining and storing food stockpiles.
Do you worry what would happen to your family in an emergency?
With the Prepper's Pantry, you'll learn the following:
- Discover how much is enough when prepping for survival - more or less than you think?
- Learn which foods store well, which you should avoid and why you shouldn't follow someone else's disaster preparedness plan.
- Consider commercial versus home prepared food storage techniques and devise your own best strategy.
- Get to grips with the what, where when and how of food storage basics and self sufficiency.
- Understand food and water safety and how to cook with stored foods.

Free From Stackpole.
Stackpole puts a book or two up for free periodically. I have read several of their free books. Some interesting stuff. Most of what I have seen is WWII German military history, with varying quality of translation, some other military history from lesser known units, along with some fishing and other outdoors oriented books.
Searching for George Gordon Meade: The Forgotten Victor of Gettysburg
Despite his great victory at Gettysburg and his command of the army that forced Lee's surrender at Appomattox, George Meade saw his fame eclipsed by that of Lee, Grant, and other Civil War generals. This book does a great deal to redress that historical injustice. Tom Huntington has invented a new genre of biography that shifts between past and present as he tells the story of Meade's life and describes his own pilgrimage to the key sites of that life. The result is an engrossing narrative that the reader can scarcely put down. --James M. McPherson, Pulitzer Prize-winning author of Battle Cry of Freedom
"Searching for George Gordon Meade is a splendid book! Well-researched, well-reasoned, and well-written, it's a timely and vital addition to the all-too-meager literature on this neglected American hero. Strongly recommended for serious historians as well as for a general readership. Excellent!" --Ralph Peters, author of Cain at Gettysburg
"Much more than another Civil War biography, Tom Huntington's gripping personal ‘search' for George Gordon Meade is unique and irresistible: a combination life story, military history, travelogue, and cultural commentary that brings us closer than ever to the old general and his strange reputation--and also opens new windows to our own unending search for an understandable national identity." --Harold Holzer, author and Chairman of Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Foundation
A historian's investigation of the life and times of Gen. George Gordon Meade to discover why the hero of Gettysburg has failed to achieve the status accorded to other generals of the conflict
Covers Meade's career from his part in the Mexican-American War through his participation in the great Civil War engagements, including Second Bull Run, Antietam, Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, and Petersburg
Available for the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg
Explores Meade's legacy today at reenactments, battlefields, museums, and institutions that preserve history
