Seen 4-1-14 at Rock Cut State Park sitting out on Pierce Lake by the dam

Not sure what he is. Looks something like one of the pictures of Thayer's Gull, but I am not sure that particular bird would be around here based on the map the link has. Appears to be some kind of gull, but I am a rank amateur at bird identification.
