PLEASE. Do everyone a favor and write an Amazon review if you end up reading a book (or trying to and giving up in disgust). It does not have to be much. Just tell what you think of the book. By the way, most of the time I have found the 1 and 2 star reviews on self published works to be far more revealing about the book than the more stellar reviews.

I did not list any of them since they don't interest me much, but there are several religious oriented books on the list today that some might be interested in. Click on the link above and search through the Free List Tab if you are interested in such books.
Fuzzy Navel - A Thriller (Jack Daniels Mysteries)
Things are going well for Lieutenant Jacqueline "Jack" Daniels of the Chicago Police Department. She has solved some of the city's toughest and most high-profile homicides. Her personal life is finally in order. Her friends and family are safe and happy. And she just got a call that eased her mind like nothing else could: Alex Kork, one of the most dangerous criminals Jack ever arrested, killed herself while in jail.
But things sour quickly when a group of vigilantes on a murderous spree decide to take down a cop and the people she cares about ... and they turn downright awful when Jack discovers that Kork may not be dead after all.
Trapped in her house with a psycho and everyone she cares about, and unable to leave because she's surrounded by snipers, the next eight hours will be the worst of Jack's life. And that's saying something.
Fuzzy Navel is Jack's fifth adventure, perfect for readers who like their mysteries with a shot of humor.

The Eden Project: Humanity's Last Chance
There was only one rule: NEVER LEAVE THE DOME.
Inside the dome, 117 tube-born kids lived free of contamination. Trained since birth, they were almost ready to launch their ships and leave the dying planet behind. They were humanity's final hope to avoid extinction. Their mission would be to explore the farthest reaches of the galaxy seeking out a habitable world free of the C-1 virus.
They tried not to think of conditions outside the dome where the virus had driven the last of the uninfected into the ground, into dark bunkers where they waited to be rooted out by cannibalistic hordes. Streets had become boneyards. Weeds grew inside long-forgotten government buildings.
Fifteen-year-old Genevieve Fifthborn knew all this, she was fully aware that the world was coming to an end, but on the island of The Eden Project she had much bigger problems, boy problems. Only her first love might risk far more than a broken heart, it just might bring about the end of our species.

SHOT OF TEQUILA by JA Konrath
This ebook also features an exclusive sneak-peak--three full chapters--of INSIDE OUT, the latest thriller by NYT bestselling author Barry Eisler.
Book Description:
Shot of Tequila takes place in the early 1990s, and is both an homage to and a re-envisioning of classic action novels by authors like Mickey Spillane, Ross MacDonald, Donald Westlake, and Elmore Leonard, but with a more modern twist.
The breakneck action is intercut with scenes featuring Konrath's series hero Jack Daniels, here as a supporting character chasing the main protagonist.
Edge-of-your-seat suspense, non-stop action, and dark humor punctuate this heist novel/fugitive-on-the-run thriller. Fans of Konrath's police procedurals will enjoy the slight departure from his normal writing style, while still finding familiarity with the setting and characters.
