Most times these books are only free for a day or two, so you have to grab them while you can. Worry about whether you really want to read it later if it seems interesting.

As is typical, there are several religious and recipe books on the list today. I don't call them out because they don't interest me. Click on the link above and search through the Free List Tab if you are interested in such books.

[#4. Was free last month as well. I have not looked at it. Seems pretty far fetched. Might be more of a romance than a thriller. It is about impossible to make those two things work together.]
Parallax View
It's spring, 1987, late in the Cold War, and CIA clandestine operations agent Tracie Tanner is tasked with what should be a relatively simple mission: deliver a secret communique from Soviet General Secretary Mikhail Gorbachev to U.S. President Ronald Reagan.
After smuggling the document out of East Germany, Tracie believes she is in the clear. She's wrong. A shadowy cabal is work, people who will stop at nothing to prevent the explosive information contained in the letter from reaching the White House.
Soon, Tanner is knee-deep in airplane crashes and murder, paired up with a young Maine air traffic controller and on the run for their lives, unsure who she can trust at CIA, but committed to completing her mission, no matter the cost.

[#5. Another far fetched premise. But, you never know. ]
Extinct
[#27. 2nd day. Has potential. How well the author uses that potential is something else.]
Ravage: An Apocalyptic Horror Novel
FIRST PEOPLE GOT SICK. THEN THEY GOT VERY SICK..
Nick Adams is just a normal guy. He loves his family, appreciates his home, and covets his car. But he absolutely hates his job. Which is what makes it so difficult that not a single customer has come by his store today. It seems as though there’s a bug going around, something that has come out of nowhere and is keeping people at home. Still, it’s probably nothing to worry about. People get sick all the time.
And besides, things are finally starting to look up. Nick’s first customer of the day has just stumbled through the door…
HIS DAY IS ABOUT TO GET WORSE..
It won’t be long before Nick’s entire life is turned upside down, sending him on a frantic journey through a ravaged world that will ultimately lead him 500 feet upwards to a hilltop amusement park. Is it the last safe place on Earth, or are the monsters at the top of the hill even worse than the ones below?

Post-Human (Book 2) (Post-Human Series)
[#38. 2nd day. Was free about 6 weeks ago too. I have not looked at it. My experience has been that a book that is stated as being suitable for 12 YO and up is probably a teenage fantasy book. Nothing wrong with that genre, but be aware of that possibility. This book has an unusual assortment of reviews. Almost as many 1, 2, and 3 star reviews as 4 star reviews, but 10X as many 5 star reviews as 4 star. I am not sure just what that tells one.]
EDGE OF SHADOWS: The Shadow Ops Finale (Shadow Ops, Book # 3)
From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author CJ Lyons comes the long awaited conclusion of her Shadow Ops trilogy, now at a Special Readers’ Appreciation price!
(Haven’t read the first two Shadow Ops? Grab them now at a Special Low Price—get all three books for less than the price of one!)
They hide in the shadows to protect our country…can they protect their hearts?
The Special Threats Response Team hunts terrorists out of the reach of conventional law enforcement.
Their leader, Rose Prospero has already faced her own worst fear: five years ago she was captured and tortured when the CIA abandoned her behind enemy lines. Since then, she’s focused her energies on protecting her Team and her country from monsters like the man who captured her. The Team and the job come first, last, always for Rose, leaving no room for love.
Former Delta, Billy “Edge” Price is Rose’s second-in-command and her best friend. Suave, skilled, and a smooth operator, Billy loves his job—and his boss. He can’t have both, so he’s settled for using his position to stay close to Rose.
As they face enemies from without and within, on the run from anyone who could help them, Rose and Billy learn each other’s deepest secrets, face their greatest fears, and sacrifice everything for Team, Country…and Love.
[#60. 2 reviews - both 5 stars. Not much to go on other than a very far fetched premise. Seems like the day for far fetched premise books.]
Dark Moonlighting
[#98. 4th day. Was also free back in May. A vampire book with a pretty good premise and some good reviews. What's not to like? I started reading it but never got much past the first few pages. Not sure why. Maybe just other things got in the way.]
