Wilma and I have been here several times before 9-25-10 11-13-11 9-23-12. It is a nice hike with lots of water access for the creek beagle to play in and drink from. All the trails here are horse trails but they are not heavily used. McKiski can only be reached by walking or horsing several miles through Deer Run. It is a nice loop trail through some hardwood floodplain area.
We saw a lot of birds, some deer tracks, lots of geese, and one great blue heron.
Also got a tick. Wilma - no ticks. Surprisingly for all the water very little in the way of mosquitos. Lots of mud though.
