The Last Disciple: 1
First-century Rome is a perilous city as Nero stalks the political circles and huddled groups of believers. To be safe, Christians must remain invisible.
Gallus Sergius Vitas is the only man within Nero’s trusted circle willing to do what it takes to keep the empire together. He struggles to lessen Nero’s monstrosities against the people of Rome—especially the Christians. But as three Greek letters are scrawled as graffiti throughout the city, Nero’s anger grows.
As the early church begins to experience the turbulence Christ prophesied as the beginning of the last days, an enemy seeks to find John’s letter, Revelation, and destroy it. Meanwhile the early Christians must decipher it and cling to the hope it provides as they face the greatest of all persecutions.

[#15. I am a fan of historical fiction, but not religious fiction. It is not described as being religious fiction but is published by Tyndale House that does exclusively religious material, so it probably is. Its free so if it turns out to be something I don't like, I will just pass it by.]

Two Thriller Novels (Blademan's Return, The Outkast)
Two Thriller Novels (Blademan's Return, The Outkast) will be free on May 5th and 6th. Grab a copy while you can.
Blademan's Return:
When the body of a young woman is found in her apartment, with what looks like death by strangulation, Detective Dawson Johnson suddenly becomes caught up in a battle he thinks he's left behind.
Only one person can strangle his victim to death without any traceable prints left behind. But that same person is thought to have been killed months earlier, so Dawson tells himself the case has nothing to do with the past.
However, when more bodies begin to turn up, with victims slashed to death, Dawson's denial about the past monster's involvement begins to erode. He concludes no one else but Blademan kills his subsequent victims by cutting them.
He must have returned from the dead.
The Outkast:
He's young and lonely, a soul struggling for acceptance among his peers and the community at large. He's an outcast.
He's huge and dangerous, with a life wholly dedicated to executing bloody revenges on those who have spited his person. He's The Outkast.
Robert Smallwood is a loner, hated at school by the rest of the students--and teachers alike. He's the twelve-year-old suspect in a high school murder case.
At first, Sheriff Brian Stack has some doubt about the accusation. But when more bodies are found, with objects left on the scenes that point towards Robert, the police investigation intensifies.
Blademan's Return is a full-length novel of approximately 70,000 words in The Cutting Season Series.
The Outkast is a full-length stand-alone novel of approximately 65, 000 words.

Nikola Tesla: Imagination and the Man That Invented the 20th Century
[#49. Its 15th day on the list. This one is definitely not for everyone, but as an electrical engineer, it caught my eye.]
Hard Duty: Merkiaari Wars 1
[#50. I got it Friday when it was also on the list. 4th day on the list. It started out slow with a confused 3 part storyline that seemed to have no connection but it got better as the book progressed. I have not finished it yet. It is not the book the 5 star reviews claim it is, but it got good enough for me to enjoy reading it. I might finish it today and post a review.
ETA: I finished it and gave it three stars.]

Foreign Deceit (A David Wolf Novel)
Sergeant David Wolf has put his Special Forces days long behind him, settling down as a cop in the small ski resort town of Rocky Points, Colorado. He's a good cop who's seen bad days before, but none quite like this.
As if narrowly escaping an attempt on his life, his addict ex-wife being back in the picture, and complications to his all-but-certain appointment to Sheriff weren't enough, he's just received word that his traveling blogger brother has committed suicide in the Alps of Italy.
Devastation and resentment over his only sibling's selfish act quickly gives way to a nagging suspicion that he isn't getting the whole truth. Conviction of his brother's character is enough to pull Wolf from his pressing situation at home to the entirely foreign land of Northern Italy -- into a more dangerous and volatile turn of events than he could have possibly imagined.
With the help of a beautiful young officer of the Caribinieri, Wolf must piece together what happened on that last fateful night of his brother's life without ruffling too many feathers, or paying the ultimate price.
A gritty tale of international mystery, Foreign Deceit is a cerebral, visceral and emotional ride that will keep you guessing until the final pages.
