Pocket Sharpening Steel

An eBay purchase. I got two of them for $6.22 shipped from seller Rusty_038. I like the guy's thriftiness. He shipped it in an envelope hand made of two pieces of cardboard taped together. I ordered it March 9, 2013 and it arrived March 15, 2013 via USPS.

This is the seller's description.
Our pocket sharpening steel puts and edge on your blade with just a few strokes. It's convenient pocket size makes it easy to have on hand. Unscrew the steel, slide it out, flip it around, and screw it back in. The cover piece becomes a handle. Smaller than most ball point pens. The steel is 2 3/4" long and the cover/handle is 3 3/4" long.
A sharpening steel is really not for sharpening so much as trueing up the blade and getting rid of the burr that develops when cutting the angle.

The steel threads into the handle either with the steel in the handle or extended and it seems pretty secure. It is not very large as steels go, but pretty handy sized for taking with one.

As of today (5-18-13) I have not had much chance to use it, but what I have seems to work OK.
