PLEASE. Do everyone a favor and write an Amazon review if you end up reading a book (or trying to and giving up in disgust). It does not have to be much. Just tell what you think of the book.

I did not list any of them since they don't interest me much, but there are a bunch of religious oriented books on the list today that some might be interested in. Click on the link above and search through the Free List Tab if you are interested in such books.
Bad Radio (The Emergent Earth)
Sixty years ago Abe Griffin saved the world and gained eternal youth.
Or so he thought.
Now, a man that Abe believed to be long dead is killing the surviving members of Abe's old squad in order to reclaim the relics that they have kept hidden for decades.
The relics form an ancient beacon that must never be used, in a ritual that must never be completed. But the end of the world requires more than just activating the beacon.
It requires Abe.
With help from the granddaughter of his oldest friend, Abe must learn the truth about his immortal body, while at the same time trying to stop a horrifying series of supernatural opponents from sweeping away everything that he cares about.

[#7. I almost did not put this one up. Something about the description probably. But, it has a lot of good reviews.]
The Heidelberg Effect (The Tempus Fugitives Trilogy)
[#21. 2nd day. I like both time travel and and books about this period of time in this part of the world so despite the cover that makes it look like typical chick lit I downloaded. I am not sure how a sexy US marshall comes to be in 1620 Germany, which gives it that "sweaty thighs" type of book feel (that's what a friend of mine calls them - she is 80 and loves that kind of book).
Europe's Financial Crisis: A Short Guide to How the Euro Fell Into Crisis and the Consequences for the World
Will the Euro survive? Where is the European financial crisis headed? What will it mean for global and US markets? In this short book, internationally respected Financial Times journalist John Authers illuminates today's European financial crisis and the massive forces increasingly buffeting world and US economies. Authers explains why a strong recovery remains far away, why the risk of a disastrous "final" crisis remains terrifyingly real, and how investors can best navigate today's brutally challenging markets. The European Financial Crisis reveals why the 2010/2011 market rallies were so fearful, and why their underlying assumptions -- continued Chinese growth, bailouts, progress towards bank solvency, more easy "Fed" money -- have proven so tenuous. Above all, Authers shows how the Eurozone crisis uncovers today's worst unaddressed risk: the markets' loss of confidence in governments. This brief discussion offers insights into underlying flaws in the banking system and the Eurozone's structure that remain unaddressed; how cheap money and bailouts have bought time that is rapidly running out; and the increasingly frightening signs of "perverse synchronization": forex, equity, credit, and commodity markets massively moving in tandem. He also offers specific recommendations for what policymakers can and must do now to restore the long-term health of the global markets.

[#76. This one has been free before. It is part of an anthology that I got for free some time ago and started to read and eventually just gave up as I lost interest in it, so it got the one star treatment from me. However, the book (really a long short story) has a lot of fans as does the series. YMMV.]
The Joke, Tesla, and Lycan stuff are still free but I am not going to clutter up my posts with them anymore. You can look at my 5-12-13 post for links to them if interested.
